This paper studies information integration of petroleum companies heterogeneous data sources in the network environment, and dispels information silos due to the heterogeneous data sources in the process of enterprise information, achieves enterprise resource sharing. This paper studies data elements, combined with the advantages of ontology, proposes a method to achieve information integration based on data element and ontology, whose main idea is to uniform enterprise data elements, and construct basic data unit-data ontology which is used to achieve information exchange, through semantic ontology complete information integration between information systems in the field of petroleum exploration and development.
