摘要
An investigation is reported of the optimal design of multi-blade sawing based on experimental models. Prevailing wear of diamonds in multi-blade sawing was discussed and it was found that premature pop-out of diamonds was the main obstacle to control machining cost. Coupled with our fundamental studies on machining of granites, models related to the mechanical and thermal aspects in circular sawing were summarized. Based on balancing the mechanical and thermal loads on diamonds, the multi-blade sawing was optimized by selecting of optimal parameters and designing multi-layer segment structures.
