Effect of pH and cations on the formation and structure of human telomeric G-quadruplex DNA

摘要
Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry and circular dichroism were used to investigate the factors which affect the motif of the human telomeric quadruplex, such as pH and cations. ESI-MS and CD spectra indicated that pH could induce both the conformational transition and the dissociation of the quadruplex. Moreover, K+ and NH4+ cations play an important role in the formation of the quadruplex.
