It is a research that aims to know the profile of the users of the Physics Course Library - BCF of the Federal University of Ceara - UFC. Thus, it aims to identify the real users of the BCF, verifying the meaning of this for its users and understanding their level of resourcefulness in the abilities of search and use of the information. The study is supported, among others, by the authors: Araujo (2010, 2012, 2014), Costa (2016), Cunha, Amaral and Dantas (2015) and Figueiredo (1994). An exploratory and descriptive research of a qualitative and quantitative nature was carried out, setting up a case study in BCF. The questionnaire used as the instrument of data collection, was largely composed of closed questions. Although the analysis has had the collaboration of quantitative variables, we seek a more qualitative based on quoted objectives. The results showed that BCF users are mostly in the young phase and are mainly linked to the undergraduate degree in Physics (baccalaureate and licenciatura) and courses related to the area of Engineering. We infer that the public received in BCF associates the library with the basilar resource of the university: knowledge. This is because it conceives it primarily as a space for studies and research. We find that this study presents itself as an introductory action regarding the knowledge of the informational behavior of this public and, therefore, must be added to future initiatives that can contribute with the users giving greater meaning to their searches and, therefore, collaborating in the satisfaction of their Information needs.
