Synthesis, Crystal Structures and Fluorescence of Zn(II) Complexes with Schiff Base

摘要
Zinc complexes Zn(Salicylidene-aniline)2 (1) and Zn(Salicylidene-p-methylaniline)2 (2) have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction method. Complex 1 crystallizes in the triclinic space group PI with unit cell parameters of a=0.949 5(2) nm, b=1.075 8(2) nm, c=1.234 3(3) nm, alpha=68.3 18(3)degrees, beta=67.882(3)degrees, gamma=78.316(3), V=1.082 4(4) nm(3), Z=2, D(c)=1.405 Mg-m(-3), F(000)=1 008 mu =1.160 mm-1. Complex 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with unit cell parameters of a=2.1845(5) nm, b=0.87905(19) nrn, c=1.198 8(3) nm, beta=96.563(3)degrees, V=2.287 0(9) nm(3), Z=4, D(c)=1.411 Mg-m(-3), F(400)=1 008, mu=1.102 mm(-1). From the fluorescence spectra of complexes 1 and 2 in CH(3)OH and C(2)H(5)OH, one can see that these complexes are photoluminescent with the emission peaks corresponding to n-pi transition of metal-perturbed intraligand, respectively.
