An analysis of Stricto Sensu graduate programs in Brazil in the field of Controlling

The purpose of this article is to investigate the offer graduate of Brazil in master's level and doctoral courses in Controllership area and founded scientific production of these courses. The survey was conducted from a sample of six (6) programs of post graduation stricto sensu, that conglomerate nine (09) courses in master's and doctoral levels, which is to focus the Comptroller. The information was obtained through Sucupira platform and the Web sites of the investigated graduate programs, the review period included a timeline of ten (10) years, from 2006 to 2015. As for the methodological procedures the study is classified as exploratory and descriptive, with qualitative approach to the means of investigation was used documentary research, organization and data analysis proceeded to content analysis. The results show that programs with reference to Control area are concentrated in only two regions in the Southeast and Northeast. The courses offered in the Southeast are limited to the state of Sao Paulo, and are offered by the University of Sao Paulo (USP) in Sao Paulo and Ribeirao Preto and the Institute of Accounting Research Foundation, Actuarial and Financial (FIPECAFI). In the Northeast the courses are distributed in two (02) states, in Ceara offered by the Federal University of Ceara (UFC) and the state of Pernambuco, where the supply is carried out by the Rural Federal University of Pernambuco (UFRPE).
