摘要：
A list of the 135 genera and 303 species (seven of which are newly recorded) of British oribatid mites is presented together with a general review of their biogeography. It is suggested that their distribution indicates a north/south divide, complicated by the presence of discrete and special upland and southern/south-western glacial relict communities.
