摘要
Mean flow measurements taken in fully developed turbulent pipe flow over a wide Reynolds number range are used to evaluate current methods of correcting Pilot probe data. Based on this evaluation, a new form for the displacement correction is proposed which appears to be more accurate over a wider range of conditions than those currently available. The difficulty of obtaining the true near-wall velocity profile near the wall is explored.
