Catalytic pyrolysis of wood blended with ZSM-5 catalyst

摘要
In the order to improve the quality of biomass pyrolysis and its bio-oil, mesoporous ZSM-5 was mixed with Yunnan pine for the catalytic pyrolysis in a fixed reactor. The compositions of bio-oil were analyzed by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). The results of XRD, N-2 absorption/desorption isotherm and TEM indicated the presence of mesopores within ZSM-5. The result of catalytic pyrolysis showed that with the increase of catalyst/biomass ratio, the content of char and gaseous products increases and the content of bio-oil decreases. At the same time, the phenolics, aldehydes,ketones, organic acids and furans in bio-oil decrease distinctly while desirable hydrocarbons increase drastically from 1.11 to 72.07 wt%.
