摘要
The work aims to contribute to the functional validation of a rubber modified SMA 12.5, blended by the dry process, and avoid the bitumen drainage, to be an alternative to conventional cellulose fibers SMA and improve the overall durability of the SMA mixture. The mixtures analyzed were evaluated for water sensitivity, permanent deformation, deformability, fatigue resistance, and ageing. The drawn conclusion was that rubber modified SMA fits well the objective of constituting a surface course resistant to heavy vehicles' actions under high temperature conditions, having the potential to be used in paving technology in Angola or other similar reality.
