Interpenetrating square nets in the hydrogen-bonded structure of 4,4'-sulfonyldiphenol

摘要
In the structure of 4,4'-sulfonyldiphenol, O2S(C6H4OH)(2), the molecules are linked into square nets by O-H ... O=S hydrogen bonds with O ... O distances of 2.746(5) and 2.708(6) Angstrom; pairs of nets are interwoven but there are no significant interactions between adjacent bilayers.
