This article refers to the Seebeck effect used in temperature measurement. It shows how to obtain the results, as well as the results of the Seebeck coefficient measurement for commercially available amorphous tapes. The important factors that have a particular influence on the measurement results were also outlined. We also consider the possibility of using this method for curie and crystallization temperature determination. The measurement were done for: SA1 (Fe80B11Si9), 2826 MB3 (Fe40Ni38Mo4B18) and 2705 M (Co70Fe5Ni2Mo5B3Si15). Mean value of Seebeck's coefficient 8,14(+/- 0,81)mu V/K and 2,91(+/- 0,44)mu V/K were obtain for SAl (Fe80B11Si9) and 2826 MB3 (Fe40Ni38Mo4B18) respectively.
