Capabilities of antenna-coupled superconducting microbolometers

摘要
Parameters of antenna-coupled superconducting microbolometers in far-infrared and submillimeter wavelength regions are considered under the condition of their limitation by background fluctuations Theoretical analysis shows that at cryogenic temperatures application of antenna reception leads to sharp decrease of response time tau of bolometers without any decrease in their detectivity. Calculated characteristics of deep-cooled antenna-coupled microbolometers are being compared with measured parameters of Au/Pb/Sn and YBaCuO microbolometers. operating at 3.6 - 4.7 K and 70 - 90 K, respectively.
