摘要
The series of Cr:Mg2SiO4 laser crystals grown from non-stoichiometric melts has been studied. According to the polarized optical absorption spectra, the content of Cr4+ ions in the crystals increases with increment of MgO excess in the melt, whereas the concentration of parasitic Cr3+ ions passes through a maximum in this series.
