Crystal structure of adamantaneamine nitrate

摘要
The crystal structure of adamantaneamine nitrate (tricyclo[3,3,1,1(3,7)]decane-1-amine nitrate, C10H18N2O3, M-r = 214.26) was determined-by X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to the orthorhombic system, space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with a = 6.380(1), b = 7.349(2), c = 22.801(5) Angstrom, V = 1069.0(4) Angstrom(3), mu(MoKalpha) = 0.098 mm(-1), Z = 4, F(000) = 464 and D-c=1.331 g/cm(3). The structure was refined to R = 0.0310 and wR = 0.0757 for 1172 observed reflections with I greater than or equal to 2sigma(I). The structure of the title compound consists of one adamantane ammonium and one nitrate, which are bridged by hydrogen bonds to form a two-dimensional infinite structure.
