The semiconductor laser is a kind of device with high power density and high quantum efficiency, but the bearing capacity of the electric shock and the temperature change is poor. The small current caused by the temperature will lead to the great change of the output of the light power and the changes of the device parameters (such as the lasing wavelength, the noise performance, and the mode beating), and these changes will directly endanger the safe use of the device, so that in the practical application, the performances and the safety protection of the laser drivers have very high demands. In order to reduce the influence of the changes of the environmental temperatures and the thermal effects of the laser on the laser itself and its output, this paper designs the semiconductor laser and the temperature control device together, so that the laser can work at a constant temperature. With the development of the computer technology, the microcomputer-based digital control can effectively solve the problems of the accuracy, stability and reliability of the semiconductor laser. Therefore, the digitalization and intelligence is the inevitable direction of the development of the semiconductor laser. This paper proposed the control system based on the design of the single chip microcomputer.
