摘要
This paper further develops ideas in relation to the "two sides of design" i.e. "design as it is observed and design as it is practised" in terms of the "management of the design activity (the linear process model) and the creative act itself(the reflective model)" and suggests a graphical model of this holistic process. It also discusses the benefits of students being taught by academics and practitioners from both cultures i.e. engineering designers (the processors) and industrial designers (the reflectors) and the implications that this may have for course design.
