Spin- and angle-resolved photoemission of face-centered tetragonal Fe/Co(001)

摘要
We have measured spin- and angle-resolved photoemission spectra of Fe films on Co(001) in the thickness range less than 5 monolayers, where Fe grows in a face-centered tetragonal structure. Using a photon energy (44.5 eV) corresponding to the F-point in the face-centered cubic Brillouin zone we observed a large exchange splitting of face-centered tetragonal Fe states of 2.4 eV.
