摘要：

Introduction: Peritonsillar abscess is a common ENT emergency. However, Differential Diagnosis becomes complex when this pathology is seen in a patient with history of tonsillectomy.Case report: This is a case report of peritonsillar abscess in a 57 year old female after an interval of 46 years post tonsillectomy.Discussion: As peritonsillar abscess is rare after tonsillectomy, every effort should be made to determine the cause, which can range from very simple to complex pathology.
