摘要
In the second half of year 1997 were created database concerning teaching in macroeconomics, microeconomics and history of economic thought at universities in the Czech Republic. The database contains the following data: a) names of teachers who are responsible for courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics and history of economic thought at each faculty, b) phone and fax numbers and also e-mail boxes of the teachers, c) number of semesters and teaching hours granted to individual courses at each faculty, d) the structure (e.g. number of lectures and seminars) in each course, e) the form of assessment and f) study literature used in each course. The access to the database is in the Internet address: http//nb.vse.cz/fak3/win/welcome.htm. The analysis of the database provides several normative conclusions: a) economics faculties would provide three (e.g. basic, intermediate, advanced) courses in macroeconomics and microeconomics plus the compulsory course in history of economic thought, b) business administration faculties would provide two (basic and intermediate) courses in macroeconomics and microeconomics plus voluntary course in history of economic thought, c) during nineties several very good textbooks were published by Czech authors and so the shortage of economics literature was overcome.
