1H MAS NMR Analysis of Epoxy Reaction in Deuterium Solution

摘要
We investigated the curing :reaction between epoxy and amino groups for water soluble polyglycerol polyglycidyl ether (PGPE) and poly e-L lysine (epsilon-PL). The curing reaction was detected by H-1 MAS NMR in deuterium oxide solution. The H-1 signal intensity of epoxy group changed with time elapsed. The change of the normalized intensity with reaction time was least-square fitted by assuming a simple bimolecular reaction. The obtained reaction rates were 0.026min(-1) at 50 degrees C and 0.113 min(-1) at 80 degrees C. The estimated activation energy, approximately 46 kJ mol(-1), showed a satisfactory agreement with the previously obtained value.
