摘要
Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as well as MWCNTs modified by amino-functional group (MWCNTs-NH2) and graphitization (MWCNTs-G) are studied for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) by using cyclic voltammograms and rotating ring disk electrode techniques. Electrochemical results indicate that in alkaline electrolyte, the ORR electrocatalytic activity and selectivity isMWCNTs> MWCNTs-NH2 > MWCNTs-G; while in acid medium, it isMWCNTs-NH2 > MWCNTs> MWCNTs-G. Raman data show that the degree of defect (I-D/I-G) is MWCNTs (1.41) > MWCNTs-NH2 (1.39) >> MWCNTs-G (0.54). Possible interpretation on the difference order of the ORR electrocatalytic activity and selectivity is also discussed. (c) 2015 The Electrochemical Society. All rights reserved.
