Observations of snow banks formed under the very large sloped roofs

Recently, very large buildings with sloped roofs have been built in snowy areas of Japan. In winter, snow that slides off such roofs forms a snow bank under them, Sometimes an air burst is produced by impact of the falling snow on the ground. We need a safety area on the ground for such buildings. In this study, observations of snow banks are described to establish the characteristics of problems created by very large sloped roofs.
