摘要:
This paper presents a segmented encoding method for large 3D mesh video compression. Because the encoding time of large 3D meshes is a bottleneck in real-time streaming applications, in order to reduce the encoding time, we introduce a simple mesh segmentation algorithm and perform encoding split fragments with multiple encoder instances in parallel. From the experimental results, the proposed method reduces average 3.28 times of encoding time with negligible subjective quality loss.
