This paper highlights the experiences of the library leadership at a Jamaican academic library in its recovery exercise during the COVID-19 pandemic. These experiences highlight some of the challenges, successes and the way forward as to how the library should treat with future pandemics. For the library leadership, the greatest challenge of the pandemic crisis was the recognition of the digital divide and major inequity issues among students and staff. The way forward shows a move from creating a physical footprint to a digital footprint and a more blended, hybrid model of operation with both in-person and digital.
