Sol-gel derived zinc oxide buffer layer for use in random laser media

摘要
In this study ZnO thin nanofilm has been prepared by dip coating method. A novel sol-gel system consisting of zinc acetate dihydrate, triethanolamine and ethanol has been employed for fabricating ZnO sols. Their different thin films have been prepared and annealed at different temperatures and characterized by photospectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and AFM. Experimental results have shown that high quality nanostructured ZnO thin film can be obtained by control of the sol preparation method. It is clear from absorption spectra and AFM image that ZnO thin film with the best optical properties is formed from nanoparticles with spherical shape and high uniformity distributed nanoparticles.
