Investigation on Structural, Optical, and Magnetic Properties of Dy-Doped-CeO2 Nanoparticles Synthesized by Microwave-Induced Combustion Method

摘要
In this work, new kinds of magnetic luminescent nanoparticles were synthesized by doping of Dy in CeO2 nanoparticles (DDC) with ratios of 5.2, 11.11 and 17.6 mol% via microwave-induced combustion method. The nanoparticles obtained were characterized by several techniques including X-ray diffraction, specific surface area measurements, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, UV-Vis absorption, fluorescence emission, IR, Raman spectroscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometry. It was observed that the average size of rod-shape nanoparticles with 11.11 mol% Dy is 16-20 nm and exhibits higher fluorescence emission and magnetic properties compared to the other samples.
