摘要
Ultrathin MoS2 nanosheets at large scale were successfully synthesized by a facile hydrothermal solution reaction method, using hexaammonium heptamolybdate tetrahydrate ((NH4)(6)Mo7O24) and thiourea as the precursors. The final products were characterized by XRD, EDS, SEM and TEM. TEM and SEM images showed that the thickness of the obtained MoS2 nanosheets was similar to 4 nm and the lateral size of the sheets was in the range of 200-400 nm. The influence of reaction temperature and time on the formation of MoS2 nanosheets was discussed. A possible growth mechanism is proposed to explain the formation of MoS2 nanosheets on the basis of observations of a time-dependent morphology evolution process.
