摘要
Health is one of the issues that present more challenges in Angola. These challenges come not only from the constraints of the area itself, but result also from external circumstances that influence people's health condition and access to medical services. In the context of healthcare, hospital emergency service is one of the most problematic areas given its complex and multidisciplinary nature. We argue that multi-agent systems (MAS) are a suitable approach to the topic of medical emergency because the specialization of MAS agents and the interactions between these agents and the environment where they are situated allow us to deal with the complexity of real problems. This paper presents a web based application that applies the paradigm of agent-based computing to organize and improve access to medical emergency services. It can be used by anyone who seeks medical emergency care and by healthcare providers, namely Angolan public hospitals and medical centers.
