Compressive mechanical properties of Mg-Ti-C nanocomposite synthesised by mechanical milling

摘要
The microstructural development is measured during the mechanical milling of Mg, Ti and C powders to form Mg-Ti-C nanocomposite. The mechanical properties of this nanocomposite are investigated. A mixture of Mg, Ti and C powder is milled to synthesize nanometer sized TiC particles embedded in nanocrystalline Mg matrix by mechanochemical reaction.
