摘要
Local breakdown potentials E(br) of the passive oxide films covering the titanium-aluminum alloys of various composition in KCl and KBr solutions are measured. The specimens studied were covered with a natural oxide film in one series of experiments and with specially formed anodic oxide films in the other series. E(br) Was shown to be different at different surface microsites of the same specimen because of the nonuniformity of the properties of oxide films. The character of the E(br) dependence on the composition of alloy is principally different for the specimens covered with the natural film and those with the anodic oxide film.
