摘要
Experimental investigations on air permeability characteristics of an assembly of cotton and cotton polyester blended fabrics of different layers have been carried out at 10 mm, of water column pressure head, and it was noted the relation between air permeability and thickness follows power law. Air permeability is a function of porosity and thickness at which this value has been measured. The relation between specific porosity and air permeability was found to be linear both for cotton and cotton polyester blended fabrics. Hence with the knowledge of the fabric porosity and pressure head one can predict easily permeability of different layers of cotton and cotton polyester blended fabrics.
