摘要
Steam methane reforming (SMR) is an ideal and important reaction to produce environmentally-friendly hydrogen from CH4 as a greenhouse gas. To enhance the stability and catalytic performance of SMR catalysts, Ni-Co co-impregnated on bulk or a novel hollow sphere alumina supports were synthesized with fixed 20 wt% active sites in this research. In order to evaluate the synergy effect of the Ni-Co alloy, various Ni/Co mass ratios (0:1, 1:3, 1:2, 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 1:0) were investigated. The samples before and after reaction were characterized by FTIR, XRD, N2 adsorption/desorption, TEM, FESEM, and EDX. The hollow spherical shape support could prevent metal particles from aggregating in the synthesis step or even during catalytic process. As a result, improved metal dispersion and better catalytic performance and stability during a long time SMR period were obtained using hollow catalyst structure. Among the synthesized catalysts, Ni-2-Co-1/H-Al2O3 showed the highest CH4 conversion of 88.25% and H-2 yield of 92.71% at 700 ?.
