Cortes - Line variety, comes from breeding station in Chlumec nad Cidlinou. It has excellent overwintering ability, which was confirmed in the winter 2011/2012, when temperatures fell repeatedly far bellow the freezing-point (up to - 24 degrees C) without snow cover. Typical are low, richly branching plants. Results of many tests and from practice too, shows this variety like only slightly higher than semi-dwarfs, this together with very good health of plants give assumptions for very rapid and rich harvest. Cortes is excellent no lodging variety. It has, double low" content of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. Cortes is one of the most powerful varieties, which exceeded yield of the control line varieties from 100 to 106 % throughout the state examination.
