摘要
The main dimension for Malacca Strait fisherman ship made from high density polyethylene plastic for this research are already determined. The length overall (LOA) is 8 meter, breadth (B) is 1.6 meter, height (H) is 0.7 meter, net holds length is 3 meter, and stem height is 1.15 meter. This ship is designed with accordance to Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The calculation shows the value of pressure factor for side (PFs) is 38 kN/m(2) while the pressure factor for bottom (PFb) is 40 kN/m(2), and the stiffener spacing (s) is 500 mm. The thicknesses of this ship (shell bottom, shell side, and inner bottom) are 15 mm. After the construction calculation, the ship was drawing in 3D based on the previous calculation. For the final phase, the ship strength construction will be tested with Finite Element Method.
