摘要：

On-line estimation of travel times on inter-urban motorways is becoming a key concern of traffic managers in France. This paper presents the performance of a simple algorithm using traffic data from a limited number of detector stations along the motorway Tests were made on a 17 km stretch of the A6 motorway and results indicated a satisfactory accuracy of travel time rstimations.
