摘要
We propose the problem of diagnosing insulation defects of high-voltage electrical equipment based on monitoring of partial discharges, which are the main diagnostic sign of the defects. However, partial discharges cannot be measured directly. The issues of constructing a diagnostic model of an insulation defect as a source of partial discharge series and the problem of differential diagnostics of individual defects based on the interpretation of the integral pattern of partial discharges as a set of single partial discharge times available for measurement are considered. Diagnostics is based on the idea of a mathematical problem of covering a set. An example is given.
