摘要
Drilling is a process where in a hole is produced in the component with the help of drill bit, it is the most common operation performed on the automobile parts in many industries. The assembly of any component requires drilling operation as the primary process. Syntactic foam is composed of hollow particles arranged in a structured form to construct a composite which satisfies low weight sustainable strength application. In today's industries composites are commonly preferred over other materials therefore drilling of composite study is needed. Delamination is splitting of layers of material, delamination factor is important in case of composites and it varies with the drilling parameters. This experiment aims to understand the effect of percentage of filler reinforcement, cutting speed, feed rate and point angle on the delamination of syntactic foams using a full factorial design and performing 81 set of experiments.
