摘要
This work evaluates the effect of genotype on the energy balance of sugar beet cultivation. The experiment included 5 varieties of sugar beet: Kiringa, Pohoda, Victor, Danuska and Labonita that were grown in a conventional manner on a farm in Dolany by Jaromer (dist. Nachod). From the results of the calorific value it is apparent that the energy content of tops is lower compared with the net energy of roots. Statistical differences were detected in fresh weight and dry weight between the main and secondary product. Energy production rated from 535.6 GJ ha(-1) (Labonita) to 421.15 GJ ha(-1) (Danuska). Energy balance results confirmed a statistically significant difference in the genotypes. Specific energy consumption was in the range from 0.0621 (Labonita) to 0.0789 (Danuska). Energy efficiency of sugar beet cultivation was in the interval from 12.68 units (Danuska) to 16.12 units (Labonita). Based on the calculated values of the energy balance of sugar beet cultivation, Labonita variety seems to be energetically most efficient.
