摘要:
Synthesis based on ultrasonic waves are gaining more and more attention due to the simplicity of the equipment and the possibility of using them to facile and fast obtain several materials. Regardless of how ultrasonic waves are propagated (whether through a horn, bath, or even by spray), the main mechanism is the implosion of bubbles which promote great local variation in temperature and pressure. Heterostructures have been gaining favor among the materials enabled to be obtained by these methodologies over materials formed by a singlephase due to the presence of a heterojunction which provides an efficient way of controlling the mobility of charge carriers. The ability to control charge mobility makes heterostructures ideal for photocatalytic applications as it enables optimizing the degradation process of contaminants when subjected to a light source.
