摘要：
The aim of this study is to assess the sexual behavior of 13 to 18-year-old Peruvian studying adolescents regarding gender, age and education (private or public). A total of 1501 Peruvian adolescents participated in this descriptive, cross-sectional study. Participants filled out a questionnaire about sexual behavior and sociodemographic characteristics in their high schools during teaching hours. Male adolescents who attended private high schools, and those who were between 16 and 18 years old showed the highest percentages of sexual experience involving penetration. Furthermore, results showed that female adolescents had higher index of coital risk compared to males. Differences in sexual behavior according to sociodemographic factors should be considered in STDs and HIV prevention programs.
