摘要
Communication as a means of expression is a very important attribute especially in communication between public administration institutions, citizens and employees. The way of communication is a certain prerequisite for accessing information to the public. At the same time, it expresses the institution's approach to the media, PR and, last but not least, it is the expression of the communication trend, in which the institution communicates. The main mediator of information of the institution or public administration body is a spokesperson. His or her role and competencies vary according to the nature of the public administration. The aim of this paper is to highlight selected aspects of the role of the spokesperson in the public administration, whether a state or a self-government administration. The paper focuses on spokespersons who are an indispensable part of PR in selected public administration institutions in Slovakia and in the Czech Republic. The respondents were deliberately chosen because the functioning of public administration is similar in the selected countries.
