As one of the most important material in civil engineering, concrete has the failure mechanism which the initial defect will lead to damage accumulation thus the performance of concrete will become worse in the loading condition or in corrosion environment. As the damage variable is defined in the foundation of effective stress theory that is related with principle of strain equivalence, the metric gained will be associated to deformation-damage coupling naturally. However difficulties shall be encountered in damage testing and evaluation. Associated with National Natural Science Foundation Project(50238040), on the groundwork of theoretical and experimental research on the coupling of heat conduction-damage, in order to study the coupling problem between concrete's damage(mechanics),heat conductivity (physics),heat conduction(thermology) and fractal(math), fractal research will be proceed on the infrared image from experiments, including image process, fractal dimension computing and programming realization.
