Research on the water-repellent and oil-repellent finishing of cotton fabric treated with O2 and CF4 plasma

摘要
Cotton fabric was treated with O-2 and CF4 low temperature plasma first. The process of O-2 plasma treatment and water&oil-repellent finishing were optimized using orthogonal test L-16 (4(5)). After CF4 plasma treatment, the water contact angle was tested. The morphology of the treated surfaces has been examined by SEM analysis and chemical sum face changes characterized by EDS. The results showed that the wash-fastness of water-repellent and oil-repellent finishing increased after O-2 plasma treatment. The mechanism of the positive impact of plasma modification on the wash-fastness of water&oi-repellent finishing was analyzed. Video contact angle measurement showed that good hydrophobic-property of the CF4 plasma-treated cotton fabric could be obtained. The results revealed that F-contained groups can be grafted on surface of CF4 plasma-treated cotton fabric.
