摘要
The aim of this study is to know the true utility of "creative software" 'as tool to assist design engineers in the conceptual phase of the product development process. It was made by means of the application of four different computer creative programs for design a domestic artifact, following the protocol design methodology. The "originality" was the basic criterion for measure the conceptual idea creativity. The final conclusion is that the creative software must be simple, fast to learn and its creativity techniques must be of graphical type, so that it is really useful to establish "bridges" between the external stimuli and the problem of design.
