摘要
Extensive thermal conductivity measurements have been conducted on two single crystals of Dy2Ti2O7 from 60 mK to 60 K. The samples are differentiated by their levels of disorder, which are determined through a combination of x-ray diffraction measurements and thermal conductivity data. We report clear evidence of a magnetic contribution to the thermal conductivity, which we attribute to magnetic monopoles. Furthermore, the magnetic conductivity increases with increased disorder due to the impact of disorder on the monopole density.
