摘要
This paper describes the generalized 2.5-D finite-element method (FEM), a powerful method to analyze a class of waveguide components. The method is based on 2-D FEM in combination with a sinusoidal variation of the field in the third dimension. We discuss the application of the method to an E-plane branched ortho-mode transducer, a septum polarizer, and a waffle-iron low-pass filter.
