摘要
This article accounts for an extensive investigation of electron scattering with germane molecule over a wide energy range pertinent to various plasma processes. Efforts have been made to present a complete dataset of cross sections for various electron scattering processes. Such datasets are required for the plasma modeling community. Moreover, literature survey indicates that the cross-section database for electron-germane collision is fragmentary. To overcome this, we have calculated the differential elastic, total, electronic excitation, differential rotation excitation, and momentum transfer cross sections. The rate coefficients in the temperature range of 100-10,000 K are also reported for this molecule. Two quantum mechanical approaches are implemented to accomplish this task over an energy range from 0.5 to 5000 eV. They are ab initio R-matrix method at low-incident energies and the spherical complex optical potential formalism from intermediate to high energies. The present cross- section exhibits reasonable agreement with the previously available data found in the literature.
