1H-3-methyl-4-ethoxycarbonyl-5-substituted-benzylidene-hydrazino-pyrazoles are important intermediates in obtaining various heterocycles including pyrazolo triazoles. To our knowledge, few studies have been conducted on the electrochemical behaviour of these compounds. In this paper we present further insights on the voltammetric behavior of these compounds in nonaqueous media, with the following para substituents grafted on the benzene ring: -H, -F, -Cl -CF3, -Br, -I, in order to investigate the influence of the various substituents on the mechanism of anodic oxidation.
