Sorption of H2SeO3 from aqueous solutions on solid adsorbents

摘要
The kinetics and thermodynamics of sorption of selenous acid from aqueous solutions on active carbon, alumina, and kieselouhr was studied over a temperature range of 288 to 318 K. The kinetics of sorption and sorption isotherms were closely described by the Boyd internal diffusion equation and the Langmuir equation, respectively. Of the three sorbents studied, alumina is the best, not only because of its high sorption capacity but also due to its accessible internal surface.
